How the heck
did this
happen?
The way all the best things do. Without anyone knowing.
Nick and Riley slowly got to know each other through work, which led to texting and then soon to FaceTiming. Neither were sure if the other liked them, but their friends had no doubts. After their friends inquired whether Nick and Riley were blind, they offered some encouraging pep talks, and soon the two found themselves having dinner together. Over drinks, they both tiptoed around the subject, but surprise! The feelings were mutual.
The next year was full of traveling, good memories and secret dates. They wanted the chance to get to know each other without the constant buzz of coworkers' questions, curious glances, or inevitable gossip. They figured a few secret dates would give them the space to grow without anyone else’s opinion. Plus, who doesn’t love a small secret adventure now and then?
But what started as a few dates turned into a year of secretly dating. And after sending their RSVP to a friend’s wedding in California, they realized asking for the same week off at work might raise some eyebrows. So, with some spare time a work meeting with their mutual boss, Mitch, they decided they needed to come clean.
When the secret was finally out, friends and family celebrated with plenty of love. Now, after all the adventures, they’re ready for the biggest one yet—their wedding.
